Dear friend,
A couple of things I like are baskets and structure. Our quiet time has been all over the place since we moved a year ago. I don’t know why it takes me so long to adjust after a move, but it does. It’s something about the house, the new layout, something…I struggle to do things as I used to.
Anyway, I recently redid their quiet time baskets. My children need structure for their quiet time. Baskets give structure to their quiet time. Their baskets include something to read, something to create, and a mind puzzle of some sort.
I don’t have a set time of day for quiet time, but I try to make it one hour a day. At that hour, they are supposed to read, fold their laundry, and engage in a creative activity.
Quiet time is a time for them to rest, and we all must have that time during the day.
Your friend,
Mirley
