Sunday Planning Vol. 2
Right-hand side, handicraft, and books!
Dear Mama,
I pray that last week’s planning newsletter helped you with planning your week. This week we are going to focus on one handcraft, the right-hand side of your notebook, and what I’m reading.
Happy planning,
Mirley
This Week’s Notebooking Tip
When narrating, be sure to include:
Who/what are we talking about?
What happened? Describe.
When does/did this take place?
Where does/did this take place?
Why does it happen, and why is this topic important to learn?
Simplify, Organize, Beautify Your Life
Focus on one handicraft or baking gift. You don’t have to do everything. Just specialize in one thing. This year, I am only making wood slice ornaments. I went on YouTube and followed a few tutorials to make mine.
Plan Out Your Week
Make your school planner, your personal planner. There is no need to have two separate planners.
What I’m Reading
Catch Me If You Can by Frank W. Abagnale.
I have been wanting to read this book for many years. I always try to read a non-fiction Christmas book in December. Although this book isn’t Christmassy per se, in the movie, Frank and Carl Hanraatty always talked at Christmas. Regardless of how much of the story is factual, it is a story of redemption. I heard Frank speak in Virginia and loved to see the honorable man he has become.
The Family Under the Bridge by Natalie Savage Carlson.
We are currently reading this book as a family. I have never read it and I” ‘m loving it so much. Each chapter leaves you on a cliffhanger. I’m really excited to see how the book ends.
