My Favorite Preschool Curriculum
Dear Mama,
Today, I want to share with you my favorite preschool curriculum. I have a four-year-old daughter who will be in Pre-K next year, and this is what we have been doing this year.
To start, when the school year began, my daughter was not interested in school. She was three years old and didn’t care to do the Pre-K course book from the Good and the Beautiful. So I had to look elsewhere for a curriculum that was even more gentle.
That’s when I discovered the Memoria Press Preschool curriculum. It says it’s for 2-3 year olds, but it works well for 3-4 year olds too.
This curriculum is terrific because it is basically reading a weekly book and going through it slowly so the child gets the concepts. You also sing the ABCs daily. I use Coco Melon’s ABC YouTube video, and they love it (so do I, actually)!
It wasn’t until recently, like in the last couple of days, that my daughter became interested in the Pre-K course workbook. It’s such a good book, and now she’s ready to write her letters after being exposed to it for most of the year.
I believe these two books complement each other well. Let me know if you have any questions. I will be sharing how these books work in my stories later today.
Warmly,
Mirley
