How to Organize Your Living Books
Dear Mama,
One of the projects I’m working on is organizing my Living Books. Living books are books that take you on an adventure with them, and are rereadable.
Every month, I display a collection of picture books on our display bookshelf, and every night, the children take turns selecting a book to read.
I love this tradition because we look forward to the nightly tale, and it allows us to reread the stories the following year. Not to mention that bringing out the books from the closet is quite exciting.
Here is how I’m organizing my books:
1. Create Your Own Book List
There are many picture book lists out there. Go through a couple of them and select your favorite books. Display the books and have your children choose one to read each night.
2. Hide the Books
At the end of each month, put the books away in a basket and hide them in a closet. This will enable everyone to look forward to reading the books the following year.

Organizing your living books into monthly bundles will allow you to reread them every year and make it exciting to bring them out each year.
How do you organize your living books?
Warmly,
Mama
