How to memorize scripture
Dear Mama,
One of my goals for this school year is to make memorizing scripture a priority. Memorizing scripture was a little tricky for me last year because I lacked consistency. Here is what we are doing this year to memorize scripture.
Read: Read the verse daily as part of your Bible time. Go over it a couple of times and discuss the meaning behind the verse.
Recite: recite the verse daily and at least three times a day. Do your best to remember to recite the verse in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
Write: Write down the verse once, if not daily, to help you remember the verse.
Sing (optional): If there is a melody for the verse you are practicing, sing it. Music has been shown to be a great tool for memorization. I recommend @melodicallymemorizing for this tip.
Did I miss anything? What tools do you use to memorize scripture?
Warmly,
Mirley
