How I Plan to Combine My Children
Dear Mama,
Next year will be the first year I have to combine my children. This has been something I have been looking into ever since I started homeschooling. The idea of having to teach separate subjects was really stressful. However, there is a method that I hope will help you.
1) Topic Subjects: Topic subjects include History, Science, Geography, Bible, and the Arts. These subjects can be taught topic by topic, and the only requirement needed is that they are in the narration.
2) Skill Subjects: These subjects include Math, Language Arts, Foreign Language, and handicrafts. Because these subjects are skill-based, each child progresses at their own pace.
All topic subjects can be combined with a required narration adjusted to their own level. All skill-based subjects are intended to be completed individually.
How do you combine multiple children?
Warmly,
Mirley
