How Ecclesiastes 3:6 Impacted Me
Dear Mama,
“A time to keep and a time to throw away.”
- Ecclesiastes 3:6, NASB
The days after Christmas are a good time to reflect on what we have received and what we don’t need, what we should keep, and what we should throw away.
As a result, we went through your belongings and still had a few more items to review. We discussed what items my kids were willing to take care of and pick up after they were done playing with.
Anything they did not care for or had no interest in cleaning up would have to go. I must say it was the easiest decluttering session I’ve ever had.
I didn’t force my children to get rid of things, I didn’t limit them to a specific number, I just emphasized that all the toys they decided to keep must be ones they care for, want to play with, and are willing to clean up after they are finished.
How did you manage the influx of new toys and items after Christmas?
Warmly,
Mirley
