Homeschool Planning
Dear Mama,
I think I finally figured out how to plan for the family in a way that is less stressful. I broke up our feast into four blocks: Morning Time, Family, Individual, and Tea Time. I’ll explain below how I’m doing this.
*Morning Time: This is the appetizer of the feast. It includes Bible, memory work, hymns, habits, music, art, and nature study.
*Family: This is the main course of the feast. This can be done as a family, and simplification is intensified based on the age of the students. This includes geography, history, science, natural history, and foreign language.
*Individual: This is the soup and salad of the feast. This includes Language arts, math, reading, and musical instruments.
*Tea Time: This is the dessert. I do this in the afternoon and it’s a lovely way to relax. It includes poetry, short stories, brush drawing, chalk art, and handicrafts.
I believe that bulking as much as possible as a family will make homeschool life more peaceful.
How do you teach multiple students?
Warmly,
Mirley
