Display Your Nature Finds
Dear Mama,
“We we’re all meant to be naturalists, each in his degree, and it is inexcusable to live in a world so full of the marvels of plant and animal life and to care for none of these things.”
It’s so good to encourage your children’s sense of wonder and curiosity with a place to display their nature finds. It makes nature walks more purposeful and fun!
Below are some ways to display your nature finds.
1. Find a cozy spot in your home to display your children’s discoveries.
2. Add a display box or display shelf. (We are using the Journey Shelf by @thenaturalmotive)
3. Go out on a nature walk. “This is all play to the children, but the mother is…training their powers of observation and expression…” Put yourself in the children’s shoes and encourage them to wonder and admire the creation.
3. Collect items on your walk and bring them back to be displayed on your shelf.
All of these tips bring warmth to your home and a sense of belonging to your children. My children love having a place to display their nature finds.
Warmly,
Mama
