Bible Time on the Road
Dear Mama,
Earlier this year, I read the story of Junipero Serra, the founder of California, who traveled with only three items: his Bible, his prayer book, and his rosary.
I loved this concept because we should be reverent to God even when we are on the road and away from home.
Since starting homeschool, I have been taking our Bible studies on the road, but Serra’s story made me want to be more intentional about it.
Now, when I travel, I take my Bible, my prayer book, and my Bible study. I even try to visit a nearby church. Teaching our children to be reverent to God even when we are away from home is important because they learn that God cannot be compartmentalized. We are to be reverent to God everywhere we go.
Do you travel with your Bible?
Warmly,
Mirley
