Advent 2025
Dear Mama,
Advent has become a favorite in our home. It’s such a wonderful time to read scripture as a family. This is something we don’t do year-round.
For homeschool advent, I will be going through the Beautiful Feet Advent guide. We will do this during morning time. We will read All Creation Waits and other picture books.
Each night, before dinner, my husband reads Celebrating the Seasons with Children by Lynn Seddon. It’s such an excellent Advent guide. Each day, there is a scripture reading followed by a prayer. I also love that she includes poetry and a candle lighting guide. After the daily prayer, I quickly read through Hallelujah by Cindy Rollins and listen to the Messiah while we eat.
I love these Christmas traditions that we are making as a family. They are small and simple yet powerful. The children love listening to traditional and Venezuelan Christmas carols. It’s such a delightful way to end the year.
What are your plans for Advent this year?
Warmly,
Mirley
