2023 Bible Time
Dear Mama,
For the past two years, I have been using the Bible Recap to help me read through the Bible.
The first time was so exciting! I had always wanted to read the whole Bible and never found the motivation to get past Genesis.
This year, I used the Bible Recap and found myself tired. One might read up to eight chapters in one day! Because I had already read through it once, I became tired and overwhelmed. I also noticed that I was getting a lot more out of reading the Bible slowly with my children.
We are using the Answers in Genesis curriculum to help us read through the Bible in four years. The curriculum comes with apologetics, which is evidence for the events of the Bible. This makes it so much fun.
Because I was doing two Bible times, I decided to stick to the one that we are doing with my children. I love doing Bible time as a group. I feel that the pace and the company help me focus and absorb a lot more.
I will use my time to read more apologetics books to help strengthen my trust in the Lord.
Whether you do Bible time with the children or on your own does not matter. What matters is that it gets done.
What Bible habits are you trying to implement this year?
Warmly,
Mirley
