2023-2024 Curriculum Review
Dear Mama,
The year is coming to a close, and I would like to share with you how our curriculum selections went. I am glad to say that I made very few changes throughout the year. So with that, please read below to see my review.
1. Bible with Answers in Genesis ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We love this curriculum. The curriculum goes through the entire Bible in four years. They include apologetics and Bible readings with commentary. We use the CSB Explore Bible for the readings and extra commentary.
2. Apologetics with Foundation Worldview ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️
Every Friday, we do apologetics and cannot recommend this program enough. Foundation Worldview has age-appropriate classes for children to understand what and who God is and see the world through a Biblical Worldview.
3. Morning Time with A Gentle Feast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really liked how convenient this curriculum is. However, I didn’t give it five stars because the pictures are of poor quality.
4. English Language Arts with A Gentle Feast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love this language arts curriculum. It is simple but thorough. My daughter has learned how to read with ease. I do believe it’s because this curriculum really does teach grammar, dictation, spelling, and handwriting in a way that is enjoyable and effective.
5. History with Masterbooks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We were doing Story of the World, which I love, but switched to Masterbooks. My daughter loves history a lot more with Masterbooks. Master Books teaches history in a Charlotte Mason style. The text includes pictures and is fun to learn.
6. Nutrition ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This year, we did not take a traditional science but did nutrition instead. My girls are learning so much and love reading ingredients and food labels to see if it’s good for them or not.
7. Math-u-see ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Math-u-see is a great way to learn math. I do recommend it; however, we are switching over to Masterbooks next year.
Anyway, that pretty much sums up this school year.
